A Grand Day Out

Guests of the 2008 Grand Slam ball accompanied Wales’ captain Ryan Jones for an afternoon of clay pigeon shooting at Litts Shooting Range near Newport.

The event was one of the “Money Can’t Buy” auction prizes at the Ball which was held at the Holiday Inn Newport on 5th May 2008.  This prize proved to be one of the most popular on the night with a rapid fire round of bidding to bag the day out with Ryan.  In the end the prize was split by Dave Currie and Paul Chard who invited guests to share the experience with them.

As well as leading from the front on the pitch, Ryan also has a keen eye for the clays, and led a competitive afternoon’s shooting at the range.  The delighted guests are planning to return to Litts shortly to improve on their skills just in case they bump into Ryan again.
